In the months ahead I will wonder what has become of my old friends.

I hide here in my uncertainess, wondering,
where are my friends at today?
As I look through the pages of time,
I sift through the memories, reflecting of how
things used to be. Now I wonder, where am I to go now?
I envision the future as I see it happening, telling myself
that even departing old friends there are new ones to be found.

Your poem gave me slight chills.

It resonates within me as I ask those same questions.

Even if we are miles away and in cyber land.

Did you write that yourself?

As I sit alone in my darkend room I wonder,
Where am I to go from here?
I pray to God to ask his advice, but I
have no response. So now where do I go from
here?
I talk to friends from all around and ask of
their advice and they said seek your heart.
Now I still sit alone and wonder where to go from
here...now I know.

I'm going to merge this thread with your other poem thread.

P.S. Just slight chills, nothing major like I get from watching the Matrix.

Cherish those whom are your friends.
Cherish those whom you distrust.
Cherish all living things no matter how big or small.
Most of cherish the ones whom you love.

I know this may be something different for some but here goes nothing.
I am the type of person who likes poetry so I would like to share some of my works with others. WARNING: SOME CONTENTS OF THIS POETRY THREAD MAY
BE CONSIDERED MORBID OR SO i HAVE BE TOLD BUT THE POETRY FORUMS LIKE THEM.

The Rage

Blades of rage rip at my soul
as the darkness starts to consume me.
In shadows I hide to escape the light
of day that kills me.
As I feed my rage I watch the world
around me wasting away.
I have no fear for I am immortal..
and can not die.

I hope that last poem wasn't too bad for anyone. I will try not to get too bad. Please tell me if it gets too bad.

The Thirst

I feel my blood boil as the thirst and hunger sets in.

I wait for night to fall, my blood becomes hotter
as I try to fight my obsessions from within me.

The hour is at hand, as the sun slowly starts
to fade beyond the horizon. I start to wake.

Stirs of echoes flood my mind as I start to
remember the past and the innocent whose lives I took.

I am a cursed soul allowed to roam upon this
earth for now until death finally will find me.

Thank you for posting a poetry thread. I love poetry. smile.gif

It's getting a bit late for me here..so. I'll just post my favorite Edgar Allen Poe poem.

'A Dream Within a Dream'

Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow-
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand-
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep- while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?

This could have been posted on your poetry thread.

You can always add more to it and I can change the title for you.

POETRY THREAD

I would appreciate it if you didn't post the morbid type of poetry.

I will merge this topic later.

I'm sorry I forgot about the other thread. I will make sure that my poetry will go
there and I won't post anything morbid. If it is morbid to you please let me know so I know not to do that anymore. Again I am sorry.

Nothing there to hold

by: Me smile.gif

Drowning in this quiet pool
Nothing there to hold.

Searching through the silt and mud
Nothing there to hold.

Looking for the distant shore,
Nothing there to hold.

Feeling for the surface,
Nothing there to hold.

Going deep inside me,
Nothing there to hold.

Breathing in the darkness,
Nothing there to hold.

Trying to remember,
Nothing there to hold.

Slipping from this quiet pool,
Nothing there to hold.
