I have not ever seen anything like it on earth. I am no geologist but it does not seem to be natural. It almost looks like veins.

Or tunnels....

Notice how bright some are as if they are refractive.

I agree AA not a natural occurance. I noticed they look like the filters on the larger whales that eat krill.

I say we need some more Mars image posts.

smile.gif

I'll take a look at the link and see if I can grab some clips and post them.

I still think the golf ball in the crater looks artificial and I totally believe there was and most likely still is something living on Mars.

Total Recall was much more than a movie. YIKES!

And some of us have already seen the truer colors of Mars with images that were not doctored to look so red.

We had an excellant thread over at OSA on the images. I'll check my image archives and put a thread together soon of my Mars images in regards to the color discrepancy.

Unless ArchAngel beats me to it.

This is a real interesting image.

Below is a small snip of some of the tunnels or worm like structures from image link above.

AA,
I looked at every possible magnified aspect of all those images.
It is the strangest topography I have ever seen.
Like I said , if those domes are to be considered artificial structures,
then we have a colony of them in many craters.
The ribbed long features that intertwine the landscape thru the wind exposed sand or dust inundation are seen elsewhere on Mars as well, but not in such wild profusion.
It IS VERY odd that there so many dome like features in all the regional craters.
Also like I said earlier , and bizarre as this sounds , if that is made by a lifeform, its a natural production , not artificial.
This is why also i stick with the premise that a geologic/meteoric explanation is most likely.

I will have to go back and view the hills in patterns reffered to earlier.

I did some geology research quick here.
On the domes in craters , here is your Earthbased explanations.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/encyclopedia/mono_inyo_craters

A dome grew on the lake floor and emerged to make Paoha Island. The two southernmost Inyo Craters are in a forested area and are open pits about 600 feet across, each with small ponds covering their floors. The magma that created these craters never reached the surface, thus there is no fresh ash or solidified lava there. These craters were formed when heat from the raising magma superheated groundwater until the overlying dirt and rock could no longer contain the pressure, resulting in a massive steam explosion

DAMN I cant get the pdf to download...it has pictures I am sure...but here is the html

This is the html version of the file http://www.geology.pomona.edu/research/planets/1561.pdf
.
Therefore, Arrhenius is best interpreted as an area of deposition which is now undergoing partial exhumation through aeolian deflation

A table mountain origin implies eruption beneath a cold ice-rich layer. There is direct evidence for a permafrost layer within the sediments (i.e. the rampart craters), which is consistant with a table mountain origin. The sequence of events in this case would be deposition of sediment sheet and permafrost, eruption of magma to form the domes beneath the surface, then exhumation of the sediment sheet to reveal the domes.

this link implies a calderic possibility.
never knew there was a caldera in california.

I will tell you what though.
If I remember correctly, the Mars article said something about formational events 1.8 billion years ago.
I do not buy that a bit.
That landscape was relegated to being a "permafrost" table mountain feature...
Perhaps so at some point later, but it seems much more likely to me that these are the exact same things you see on Earth.
A chain of lakes as seen in the california mono-inyo crater lakes from the links.
It is a fossil topography of a fantastic once fabulously lush and live water borne environment...but perhaps these are illusions of grandeur, I will have to study the pictures further, in the new light of things.
The official explanation is good as well, that a permafrost layer was intruded by magmatic source forming the craterous table mountain landscape.
That would be a pretty thick permafrost layer...
This is also seen in the California caldera formation of the crater lakes.
I just maintain that those were all craters with water in them at one time, when Mars was really alive.
we shall see.

Hey Arch, excellant site, thanks for posting it.

I'm gonna start a thread here soon and post my Mars "color discrepancy" images.

I edited my post above and inserted one of the tunnel or worm images.

These "tunnel" like structures were snipped from the error image at bottom left of above link.

These images are fantastic!

I’m still shaking with the first one...........

I had already saw the tunnels and read something about them, but the “dome”?

It seems inside a crater like being protected from Martian winds and weather. Strange.

Bumparriffic!

You bet! Need to read all the posts.

Thessa, when I saw the image the first time I was like WOW - a smoking gun - gotta be artificial.

Shakoora2, sure looks like there was something there before.

Martians (white people) are said to be from Mars in some new age writings like David Icke, but according to the ancients white people came from the moon and red man came from Mars and black man lived on earth.

The whole Anunnaki/Nephilim connection totally intrigues me.

And the bloodlines that rule the world - are they even human?

Mind boggling!
